Parents, we have a great opportunity for you to become involved as adult leaders of our Troop. Assistant Scoutmaster Specific Training will be offered on Saturday, April 22 at Camp Trask during the morning session of Camp-o-ree. Participants are encouraged to spend Friday night camping with the Troop if possible. Training is offered at no cost for adults that are also signed up as Camp-o-ree participants. We encourage all interested parents to become trained as Assistant Scoutmasters to help with advancement, outdoor events, merit badge programs and other facets of our program.
In the ASM training class, participants discover the essentials of leadership positions in a Boy Scout Troop. This course is a thorough, comprehensive and fun way to learn about the responsibilities opportunities, and resources that ensure a successful troop leadership experience.
If you are interested in signing up, please sign-up first on our Camp-o-ree event page as an Adult Leader, and then send an email to either ASM Cindy Sercel or ASM Stephen Kalb, letting them know you would like to be registered for the Assistant Scoutmaster training class. You can also contact either Cindy or Stephen if you have any questions.
Manasseh Matossian's Eagle Scout project will be on March 18-19, 2017, from 9 am to 3 pm, in Pasadena. We will be building small bookshelves. No experience is needed and all scouts are welcome. There will be lunch, snacks and drinks provided, as well as "some pretty groovy tunes."
Please click here for a link to a short YouTube video describing the project, and the event flyer for the project.
To sign-up or for questions about the project, please contact Manasseh at (626) 506-8446, calls or texts, or you can email him at mjm14@princeton.edu.
