Troop 502 will host our annual Open House on Monday, November 16 at 7pm. During the meeting, our SPL and his staff will continue to lead work on requirements for the Camping merit badge.
Webelos, both boys and girls, and their parents are invited to participate and work along side troop scouts. Please RSVP to Mrs. Heather Lhotka to make a reservation.
Zoom link will be posted in an email from Scoutmaster, Ferguson the night before the meeting.
On Oct 16-18, Troop 502 will participate in the Jamboree on the Internet. This is an international scouting activity, where scouts from around the world will meet on the internet. Through a dozen different areas, you’ll participate in a number of activities. These include chat rooms, online-games, discussions, a talent show, a virtual campfire and Challenge Valley. In this area, you will encounter challenges that have you doing offline activities and you can watch informative webinars.
You’ll earn a patch and this activity satisfies requirements for the Citizenship in the World merit badge and the International Spirt Award.
On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have a short meeting. Scouts can tell each other about the fun events they’ve done and give tips to each other. After that, you will explore on your own. If you can’t make the morning Troop 502 zoom meeting, that’s okay.
